eartfelt Feline Behavior Solutions (HFBS) is a boutique consulting and coaching service independently owned and operated by Mary Tomasello. HFBS is specialized in promoting the welfare of cats through education, creation of customized individual behavior plans, and coaching to cat guardians (Heartfelt Feline Behavior Solutions does not view felines as “owned property” and thus refers cat owners as cat guardians).

Mary has a passion for ensuring the overall well-being of domestic cats. Over the past 25 years, she has volunteered her time to caring for stray cats and helping to improve human-cat relationships and cat-cat relationships through insightful and practical techniques. In 2015, she became a certified Feline Behavior Specialist (CFBS) from the Animal Behavior Institute, Inc. which is known for its comprehensive education that includes the fields of: cat behavior, training, nutrition, first aid and environmental enrichment.
Mary is an accomplished human resource executive and also holds a Doctorate in Education from George Washington University focused on human and organizational learning. Her corporate expertise is in leading organizational transformations, talent mangement and leadership development. She is known for her ability to successfully build a bridge between the operational and human aspects of organizations. Given her specialty in human behavior and feline behavior, it is her goal to be just as successful with bridging the human-cat bond.

How does this service work?
Once heartfelt Feline Behavior Solutions is contacted you may be asked to complete a feline behavior questionnaire. This will be provided and reviewed by Mary prior to the initial consultation. A phone screen appointment will be made to review the questionnaire. During this call, next steps and rates will be confirmed.
Next Steps:
Consultation continues either via in-home meeting, face-time or telephone depending upon the circumstances. In most situations, a location walk-through and cat introduction will also take place on the day of the appointment. Based upon the feedback and observation, a customized individual feline behavior plan will be created for the location members to apply over a defined period of time. Guardians and other location members are asked to track behavior actions for follow-up coaching sessions which are identified in the improvement plan.
On the day of the appointment, an initial consultation is conducted either via in-home meeting, face-time /Skype or telephone depending upon the circumstances. In most situations, a location walk-through and cat introduction will also take place on the day of the appointment. Based upon the feedback and observation, a customized individual feline behavior plan will be created for the location members to apply over a defined period of time.
